South Ave Overhead Bridge CA HSR

Project Description

The South Avenue Grade Separation, located between Cedar and Maple Avenues in Fresno County, is a significant infrastructure project completed by the California High-Speed Rail Authority. This newly constructed overpass allows vehicular traffic to travel over the existing BNSF Railway and future high-speed rail lines, enhancing safety and traffic flow in the area.

Spanning nearly 390 feet in length and 40 feet in width, the grade separation was constructed as part of Construction Package 2-3, which includes 36 such structures aimed at improving safety along the high-speed rail alignment. The project was completed in collaboration with the design-build contractor Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture (DFJV).

The completion of the South Avenue Grade Separation marks a significant milestone in the ongoing development of California's high-speed rail system, contributing to the overall progress and safety enhancements in the region.
