Project Description

The 9th Avenue Viaduct is a key structure in California's High-Speed Rail project, located in Kings County near the Cairo Avenue Viaduct. This viaduct is designed to elevate high-speed trains above Ninth Avenue, ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow beneath.

Construction activities have progressed with crews focusing on building the falsework for the superstructure of the viaduct. The next steps involve tying rebar for the soffit in preparation for concrete placement. Upon completion, the Ninth Avenue Viaduct will facilitate efficient and safe passage of high-speed trains over the existing roadway, contributing to the overall effectiveness of California's high-speed rail network.
