Conejo Viaduct CA HSR

Project Description

The Conejo Viaduct is a significant component of the California High-Speed Rail project, designed to carry high-speed trains over Conejo Avenue and the existing BNSF freight line in Fresno County. The viaduct spans approximately 2,197 feet and features both north and south approaches that require a total of 18 precast tub girders to support two high-speed rail tracks. The pergola section of the viaduct comprises 248 precast concrete girders placed over the BNSF freight line.

As of 2023, all tub girders on the north and south sides of the viaduct have been placed, with ongoing work including the installation of stay-in-place metal decking formwork for the deck, which will serve as the future pathway for high-speed trains.

The Conejo Viaduct is located on Conejo Avenue, between Willow and Peach Avenues, west of State Route 43 in Fresno County.
