Placer Parkway Phase I Improvements

Knight CM Group is responsible for  providing all construction management and inspection for the structure  construction which includes the widening of the existing Whitney Ranch  Parkway Overcrossing, the construction of a new bridge over Industrial Avenue  and the UPRR tracks known as the Placer Parkway Overhead, and a 1,000+ foot  long and 40-foot tall MSE wall. These structures are an integral part of the  “parkway” project that provides a vital East – West connection of the  developing Sunset Area in Rocklin to the western portion of Placer County  which boosts economic growth and improves regional connectivity.   Project Description

Elements: Bridge widening over SR 65, Union Pacific  Railroad (UPRR) grade separation, UPRR coordination and permitting, work  within UPRR right-of-way, bridge construction, Caltrans coordination, MSE  wall construction, 108” diameter CIDH pile construction, 96” drilled rock  sockets, falsework construction over the freeway and railroad, Cast-in-place  box girder construction, pre-stressing, flared column construction and column  guying, architectural treatment, slope paving, Type 1 retaining wall  construction on CIDH piles.
